A bright, summery Blackhouse Village - a stunning spot in Garenin, Lewis. This museum village of renovated traditional blackhouses with thick stone walls, reed rooftops, and peat burning fireplaces looks idyllic in summer. I’ve captured it with bright colours and a sense of stillness to evoke the atmosphere of peat smoke, sea salt air, clacking heddle looms, and sheep bleating in the distant crofts.

Creation Process
Each collage is printed in our home studio using an 8 ink print process on a Marrutt 316gsm warm white archival cotton rag and treated with a UV resistant matte coating for longevity.
All elements of the illustration are then cut to size and layered by hand to create the 3d effect that makes each piece of art unique.
Packaging
We use recyclable and biodegradable packaging for all our products, including waterproof biodegradable cellulose wrap, recycled greyboard, recyclable cardboard boxes and envelopes.
Shipping
Our lead times are as follows:
- 1-3 working days for non-personalised products.
- 2-4 working days for personalised products.
- Lead times for commissions average 2-4 weeks subject to availability and will be confirmed upon ordering.
We ship all physical products via Royal Mail or Parcel Force. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for more information.
For commissions, digital products will only be delivered via studio@stoutcrafted.com or WeTransfer.
Returns
We pride ourselves on creating high quality products and ensure each item is sufficiently packaged to minimise the chance of a product arriving damaged. In the event that a product arrives to you damaged, please refer to our Refund Policy for details on our returns process.
Due to the time-intensive nature of personalised products and commissions, we do not accept refunds and returns on these items. However, if a personalised or commissioned product arrives damaged, then we will look to replace the damaged item.
